In 2013, this is the only example of the House of vintage cognacs "Tavria", submitted to the contest.
Contest «International Wine & Spirits Challenge» is held annually in London since 1969 and consists of two parts: «International Spirits Challenge» (spirits) and «International Wine Challenge» (wine).
Winemakers from all over the world present a tasting of more than 10 thousand samples of their products, grouped by grades, styles and regions of origin. The concept of evaluating the contestants has a very complex multi-level system, which ensures complete objectivity of the jury. The judicial process consists of two parts - the tasting (blind tasting) and analysis (microbiological analysis of the drink). The judges are the hundreds of winemakers, vintners and wine critics, representatives of the world-famous producers of alcohol (Diageo, Bonhote Foster, Whyte & Mackay, Spirituosenakademie). Referees Committee «International Spirits Challenge» consists of three committees. The first evaluates the brown spirits (cognac, armagnac, etc.), the second - the whiskey, and the third - the white spirits. After the contest, we classify the spirits of quality, which is a benchmark, not only for foodies but for the trade of the whole world. It is encouraging that many years in a row among the benchmarks have also cognac houses vintage cognacs "Tavria".
